Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy (In-Person)
This is a specialized form of physiotherapy that assesses and treats pelvic floor dysfunctions. Pelvic floor dysfunction can result from weak, tight or overactive pelvic floor muscles that can lead to a host of symptoms such as urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic pain, pain with sexual intercourse, organ prolapse and constipation. Pelvic Floor Physiotherapists use internal manual techniques in addition to external orthopaedic techniques to assess the function of these muscles and their contribution to your symptoms. Some common conditions that are treated by pelvic floor physiotherapists include incontinence, pelvic pain, irritable bowel syndrome, pre or post-natal, recurrent lower back and hip pain and more! Give us a call to find out more about pelvic floor physiotherapy.
Virtual Physiotherapy Session
For those individuals who are at high risk, immunocompromised or feeling uncertain about receiving face to face treatment, we are offering limited virtual physiotherapy sessions. These sessions will offer patient education, tip and tricks to help self-manage your rehabilitation along with suggestions for any relevant home exercise programs. Do not suffer in pain! We are here to help. Please note that most major insurance companies are now covering this service. Give your provider a call today to find out if they will cover virtual physiotherapy!
